The Rationale of Conference
We live in Asia and daily consume news like bomb blasts, Kashmir conflict, water war, foreign invasion, suicidal attacks, protests by separatists, surgical strikes, and frequent killings. It is hard to stay normal and healthy under the bombardment of such news. Pakistan and India recently changed the flavor of news from hate to love by opening, a religious place, Kartarpur for the Sikh community. There is need to have permanent journey towards conflict resolution and peace in Asia for regional prosperity, poverty alleviation and well-being of people.

This peace process drive needs its replication beyond Asia in the entire world. This conference will attract attention of global scholars, influencers, politicians and authorities who matter in the helm of affairs to think and act for the peace.

The Objectives of the Conference

    Director, Riphah Institute of Public Policy

    Dr Rashid Aftab did his Ph.D in “Public Policy and Governance perspective-Education” Sector in Pakistan’s perspective” from Utrecht University, Netherlands. He possesses a rich experience of more than 20-years in various public/private sectors. He remained involved in Planning, Coordinating, and Monitoring/Evaluation of various Socio-economic, Human Resources Development, SME and Telecom projects in; Ministry of Science & Technology, Ministry of Environment Local Govt. & Rural Development, Ministry of Industries & Production and NayaTel/Micronet Broadband Ltd.

    The primary focus of his involvements is Institutional Development and Linkages, Coordination, documenting minutes, developing strategies and succession planning, Programming Analysis, Government/international Liaison, Human Resource Management, Public Relations, Management and Strategic Alliances and above all Project Management.
